A smorgasbord of shops, curiosities, shisha bars, arcades, malls, five star hotels and restaurants combine to make downtown Abu Dhabi the vibrant, bustling heart of the UAE Capital.

Like all downtown districts in any major city, this part of Abu Dhabi is awake well into the night and is serviced with every kind of amenity.

The majority of all Abu Dhabi’s wide range of international five star hotels are located here and along The Corniche, making this part of the city ideal for those who love to socialise, entertain and eat out. Abu Dhabi Mall is one of the capital’s premier shopping destinations, and a multi-screen cinema complex.

Central Abu Dhabi is predominantly comprised of low, mid and high rise residential towers, as well as being home to a number of commercial, leisure and retail premises.

Downtown has excellent access to Abu Dhabi’s beaches and Mina Zayed port area, where you can find the souk, old fish market and marina. This is also where The Club, a private leisure facility popular with Western expats, is located.
